La Petite Maison Restaurant is the culinary dream of husband and wife duo Yohann and LaRetha.
“With confidence, a thirst for success, a fiery passion for fine cuisine and 15 years of experience in the restaurant business, we decided to take a leap of faith and open a place of our own.
Our story goes as far back as three generations. We have always lived in an environment where the health and the happiness of our employees and customers are at the heart of every decision made and every recipe we create.”
Yohann’s family has always been in the hotel and restaurant industry. They have been awarded several accolades, including One Star in the famous Michelin Guide.
Growing up in this environment, Yohann has worked from the age of 15, even while studying at the International Hotel & Culinary Arts School in La Rochelle. On weekends he helped and learned from his father at their family hotel and restaurant ‘Les Jardins du Lac.
La Petite Maison specialises in seafood cuisine. “The Bay of Langebaan offers a multitude of shellfish and fish. This type of cuisine is particularly close to my heart, as I grew up near the sea. We were known for the marine cuisine we prepared. The cooking of delicious fish, shellfish and crustaceans was my daily goal in the kitchen. “
